Description
Whatever plant is used, topiary of any kind always draws attention, bringing elegance to the garden like few other things can. Buxus, or Box, is the classic plant for growing as topiary because of its glossy, evergreen foliage and small leaves which lend themselves perfectly to being clipped into precise shapes.
Box topiary provides valuable structure in the garden all year round and our classic pyramids are the perfect example. Planted in borders they provide a beautiful focal point, and they look stunning when grown in eye-catching pots and arranged either side of a door or gate, or lining a path.
Recommended by the RHS as a 'Plant for Pollinators', box has tiny yellow spring flowers, which although hardly noticeable to us, are favourite with butterflies and bees.
Incredibly tough and fully winter hardy, box is slow growing so its shape stays looking neat with little more than a light trim just twice a year. Clipping these plants is so therapeutic, and once you have topiary in your garden, you're certain to want more and more!
Supplied as a pair of established plants in 26cm pots, 60-70cm in height.
