Description
A jaw-dropping display of magnificence that has been said to stop passers-by in their stride!
Commonly known as Dogwood, Empress of China is a striking evergreen Cornus that produces masses of dazzling white flowers through May in a display that is virtually unrivalled! The delightful blooms open a subtle mid-green, maturing to a creamy white and fill the branches.
These abundant flowers are followed by ornamental red fruits that will bring a variety of wild birds into your garden in late summer and will extend the season of colour through to autumn.
Graceful and vigorous, the healthy, bright green leaves stay on through the winter – unusually for a dogwood – making this an ornamental with year-round garden interest.
Surprisingly easy to grow, you don't need any specialist knowledge to get fabulous results – so anyone can grow this stunning shrub.
Supplied as an established plant in a 2L pot. Reaches 4.5-5.5m, flowering in May – June.
