Description
Foxglove 'Illumination' is a range of hybrid digitalis. These stunning perennials, producing multiple spikes of tubular blooms that will take your breath away. The striking vivid coloured tubular flowers are lightly speckled and shimmer in the sunshine giving real impact to any garden. Produced in abundance from early June to October, they're magnets to bees and other beneficial pollinating insects.
'Illumination Cherry Brandy' produces the most amazingly vibrant purple flowers with contrasting orange throats, a striking colour combination! Thriving in sun or dappled shed, it's happy in borders and looks magnificent growing in pots too.
Relatively compact compared to other foxgloves, 'Illumination' is sterile which means that they will put all of their energy into making more blooms instead of producing seed. Also, they have a naturally branching habit, which results in lots of flower spikes, makes these one of the showier varieties.
Supplied as 3 x jumbo plug plants, ready to grow on before planting out, reaching a height of 1m (3ft) and spread of 50cm (1½ft).
