Description
A bushy, deciduous shrub with very dark purple foliage which contrasts well with the abundance of yellow flowers in June, Diervilla rivularis 'Troja Black' makes an ideal specimen shrub for any garden.
Also known as the Georgia Bush Honeysuckle because of the shape of the flowers, it's a superb way to bring colour into your garden, the double-lipped blooms compliment perfectly the purple-bronze leaves, which turn deep red in autumn.
As the flowers age, they turn a delightful yellow-coral and are a magnet to pollinators, especially butterflies.
A new introduction, Troja Black spreads by sending up suckers which eventually form a decent sized clump, perfect for a massed planting.
Supplied as an established plant, ready for immediate planting and will eventually reach approx. H1.5 x W1m.
